"The Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Southern Utah are an absolute must-see, but hiking on deep sand is tough for every body. If you're planning a visit as a plus-size hiker or if you have mobility concerns, here are a few things to consider:

  1. Access: The main parking area is paved, but the sand itself is not wheelchair-accessible. The park does offer rentals for a special Sand Board or Sled which can be a fun way to experience the dunes without strenuous hiking.
  2. Gear: For the best experience, I recommend using your trekking poles for stability and wearing high-top shoes or gaiters to keep the sand out.
